Here is a great opportunity to purchase an original, scarce tropical German Afrika Corps army Feldmutze.  Outer shell is made from OD colored cotton twill.  Never had a soutache attached to the front as it was most likely unissued.  Has the correct cockade and light blue on tan eagle.  One light reddish-tan enameled air vent grommet on each side of the cap positioned above the point of the skirt. The size, either 53 or 54, is stamped to the interior lining which is dull red in color.  Also stamped is the maker’s information, Hans Brandt of Magdeburg, and dated 8-42.  Only flaw I can find are the grommets have oxidized and stained the material inside and has seeped to the exterior.  A fantastic example of a scarcely seen cap.
