WWII German Wehrpass Document Grouping Researched

Original Wehrpass issued in 1940 to a 43 year old man from Melk, Austria.  Has many entries and stamps.  Was in several infantry battalions with entries ending in 1943.  Was qualified to use a Police Walther pistol and 98K rifle.  Entries end July, 1943.  Comes with several letters from a man conducting research on this person in the early 1980's.  He corresponded with the German and Austrian Red Cross in an attempt to contact the spouse who did not wish to correspond.  The soldier lived until 1966.
